If there is anyone that can help me, I would appreciate it greatly. I would like to know model and year manufactured. I've in my possecion for 35 years, a Barlow-knife (pocket), belonged to family member prior to my ownership. Please contact me or otherwise direct to me to who I can contact, to whom can advise me in antique knives. Thanks.
Sincerely, Sallie

Hi Sallie, The best place to get advice on old knives is a gun & knife show. That's where you can find some old timers who may have the answers to your questions. I sell only new barlows, and don't know much about the old ones. For a general history of the barlow style knives, you can go to http://www.barlow-knives.com/history.htm They were originally made in the 1600's.
